Scoring 10 out of 10 : Congress Deserves another Chance in Haryana

In 2005 , Congress Stormed in Haryana with a Thumping victory. Congress President Smt. Sonia Gandhi Crowned Son of the Soil Ch. Bhupinder Singh Hooda as the Chief Minister of Haryana. Since then it's a story of all round development by one of the most Successful Chief Minister in the history of Haryana. A state which had a history of not repeating the state government, It gave another chance to Congress and Ch. Bhupinder Singh Hooda in 2009. All because of it's All round development policies Specially in case of Farmers , Women and Children.

Lets Take a look on the performance of current government in comparison with previous regimes as well as new schemes launched for People of the state. Since data speaks more than words , So more than words It's data which is being shared in the following post.

(1) Women Empowerment and Child Development 

• हरियाणा राज्य महिला आयोग का गठन किया गया है
• सरकारी तकनीकी संस्थानों व आईटीआई मे लड़कियों से कोई फीस नहीं ली जाती है 
• बालिकाओं को उच्च शिक्षा के लिए दिए जाने वाले शिक्षा ऋण पर पांच प्रतिशत ब्याज सब्सिडी दी जाती है 
• अध्यापकों की भर्ती मे 33 प्रतिशत तथा पुलिस भर्ती मे 10 प्रतिशत का आरक्षण दिया गया है 
• स्कूल तथा कॉलेज आने जाने के लिए छात्राओँ को मुफ्त बस सेवा उपलब्ध 
• सरकारी नौकरियों के लिए आवेदन शुल्क मे महिलाओं को 50 प्रतिशत तक के छूट दी गयी है

(2) Education :

While literacy rate increased by 10% during Congress regime. There were many Efforts put in by the State Government under Congress led by Ch. Bhupinder Singh Hooda. Rajiv Gandhi Education city was developed in Sonipat Wherein renowned Universities are being opened up. Same time 1st Women university of Northern India opened by the name of BPS Mahila University, providing education in almost all streams. IIM was opened up in Rohtak. While IIT extension too came up. (3) Agriculture and Farmers :

Not only Agriculture but under Congress farmer's have flourished. All due to Pro-Farmer policies of the state Government.Below is a comparison of performance of current Congress govt with previous regimes

Haryana has become Industrial hub for MNC's and many small units due to it's investor friendly policies, which Quite evident from the data below

(6) Milk Production :

Due to perfect introduction of Animal University and other centres , Milk Production has gone up many folds in the state

(7) Fuel Prices :

Fuel prices , specially Diesel Prices have an affect on Farmers'Inflation and food prices. Congress in Haryana have kept the prices of fuel at lowest possible rates in the country. Find below comparison of Rates in Haryana with other states

(8) Focus on Neat and clean Villages :

• पंचायतों को वर्तमान सरकार का सहयोग और प्रोत्साहन

• राज्य सरकार की निर्मल भारत अभियान सुनियोजित एवं कारगर तरीके से चलाने पर देश भर मे सरहाना

हरियाणा मे गरीब लोगों का मकान बनाने का सपना हुआ साकार

• महात्मा गांधी ग्राम बस्ती योजना - अक्टूबर 2013 तक 3.82 लाख प्लॉटों का वितरण
• इंदिरा आवास योजना - ग्रामीण क्षेत्र के लोगों लिए 1.28 लाख मकान बनाये गए
• प्रियदर्शिनी आवास योजना - प्रत्येक लाभपात्र को 90 हजार रूपये की राशि दी जाती है
• मुख्यमंत्री अनुसूचित जाति निर्मल बस्ती योजना - 1639 गॉवों मेँ 265 करोड़ की लागत

(10) Sports : 

Last but not the least , Haryana Sportsperson have brought laurels to the country in Olympics, Commonwealth Games , Asiad etc. Congress in Haryana tweaked its sports policy to motivate sportsperson to come forward and nurture their talent to International Level

The 'Educated' India They Inherited

In this post , lets take a look what legacy was left behind by Congress led Government at Centre in 2014, When Current BJP Government took over.

• While Literacy rate increased by 10% during Congress led UPA government in 2011

• Enrollment in Schools saw 20% rise in primary as Middle level education.

• Higher Education  saw a massive upsurge as is evident from the data below. Due to increase in number of  higher education institutions , Students enrollment percentage also got increased. 10 new NIT's, 8 new IIT's and 7 new IIM's were opened up by Congress government at Centre.

• In Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan the expenditure went up  from Rs. 2,730 Cr during last year of NDA Govt -in 2003-04 to Rs. 20,841 Cr in 2011-12
• The allocation for Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan linked with Right to Education (RTE)  was more than double for the 12th Plan

As is evident from the data above that Congress led UPA Government took Education to higher levels Starting from 'Right to Education' and Massive Expansion in higher education Institutions. Such a feet obviously poses a challenge to current BJP Government at Center to carry this legacy forward

'The Healthy and Family Welfare' India They Inherited

While BJP government took over from Congress led UPA 2 on 16th May '2014 . Lets take a look at Achievements of UPA 1 & UPA 2 in Health and Family Welfare Sector.

The National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) initiated in 2005 by UPA govt has been catalytic in bringing about a perceptible change in the overall health scenario of the country,especially the vulnerable sections. 

• Infant Mortality Rate registered a decline from 58 per 1000 live births in 2005 to 44 per 1000 live births in 2011.

• Life Expectation at Birth increased to 69.6 for Females and 67.3 for Males

• The UPA  Government approved the proposal for Strengthening and Restructuring of ICDS Scheme with an over-all budget allocation of Rs. 1,108,503 crore during 12th Five Year Plan

• India’s Life Expectancy has been increased to 66.1 (2010) from 61.9 (2000)

As is evident from the data ,Congress Achieved a lot during their tensure in Health and Family Welfare sector , There is a considerable challenge ahead for BJP to carry this legacy forward

The India They Inherited (Part 1)

On 16th May,2014 We witnessed change of Guards at Centre with BJP taking over from Congress Led UPA Government. UPA ruled from 2004-2014. Most of us daily keep a track of Sensex Surging up and down , Value of Rupee going up and Down.

Lets take a look at some other areas ,what the new regime Inherited from Congress led UPA Government.

Agriculture : 

Agriculture sector saw a boom under Congress led UPA Govt at centre since 2004-2014. While Land Acquisition bill was gifted to farmers with the efforts of Congress VP Sh. Rahul Gandhi.The Minimum Support Price for Wheat has been more than doubled from Rs 630 per quintal in 2003-2004 to Rs 1,285 in 2011-12. The MSP for Paddy has been increased from Rs 560 in 2003-04 to Rs 1250 per quintals in 2011-12.

Education and Employment

In Education , There was a 10% increase in literacy rate during last 10 years of Congress regime, same time there was a massive expansion in higher education. 7 new IIM's and 8 new IIT's were opened up, which in turn saw a increase in % of students enrollment for higher education. Rajiv Gandhi Education city was developed in Sonipat District , Haryana.Due to skill development programmes rate of unemployment decreased by 1.6%. Overall employment growth also saw a massive surge in Public and private sectors.

Power Generation

In power generation there was more than 2 times capacity addition, same time emphasis was laid on Greener energy through Solar and Wind energy.Nuclear power generation too got started during Congress regime

Economy

While India became 3rd largest Economy in the world during Congress regime. Per capita income increased to its highest level increasing 3 times in last 10 years. Number of EPF accounts increased 4 times 16 crores. Number of Individual Banking Accounts increased by 76%

Haryana : Lok Sabha Constituency wise elections Analysis (Part 1 - Gurgaon)

Lok Sabha(LS) elections are not far off but the political situation and equations both are uncertain in Haryana due to many factors. Considering the current scenario let’s do the LS constituency wise analysis, prediction and contenders on 10 seats in Haryana.

In this part we will start with GURGAON LOK SABHA CONSTITUENCY

Gurgaon :

Gurgaon LS seat consists of 9 assembly segments namely -  Bawal, Rewari, Pataudi, Badshahpur, Gurgaon, Sohna, Nuh, Ferozepur Jhirka, Punahana . Political situation here has changed a lot during last 1 year or so. Rao Inderjeet Singh , Current MP from Gurgaon has switched sides from Congress towards BJP. Rao Inderjeet holds considerable clout among Ahir belt. Last time Runner up Zakir Hussain too has switched sides from BSP to INLD. Congress at present is in lookout for a fresh candidate. AAP may go with Satish Yadav or even Yogendra Yadav

Ahirs used to form a major chunk of voters in this belt but post delimitation in 2008 Muslims in Meo region has become a considerable force to reckon with. Punjabis voters  in Rewari and Gurgaon assembly segments  cannot be ignored.

BJP will most probably field Rao Inderjeet as their candidate and INLD may go with Zakir Hussain. Ticket for Congress is a toss in between Aftab Ahmed and Chiranjiv Rao , Son of sitting MLA from Rewari Capt. Ajay Yadav. If congress fields Aftab Ahmed it may split voters in Meo region giving slight  advantage to Rao Inderjit and making contest between Congress and BJP. Similarly If Congress goes with Chiranjiv , Yadav votes may witness a split between Congress and BJP making it a 3 cornered contest. Since the new entrant AAP will most probably  be fielding a Yadav candidate in Satish Yadav or Yogendra Yadav , a big split in Yadav and Urban voters can be witnessed , making matters difficult for BJP.  There is also a strong possibility that voters in  Meo region  may collectively vote to defeat BJP.

In all cases discussed above one trend is clear that there will be a split in Ahir voters if congress fields a Yadav candidate , in that case Meo region becomes crucial. INLD vote base is not strong in Gurgaon LS seat but Zakir Hussain may pull some Votes from Meo region.

Prediction :

Case 1 : Congress fields Yadav Candidate à It will make 3 Yadav candidates and 1 Muslim candidate. It would certainly means game over for BJP as AAP may eat up into its urban votes and Congress/AAP will eat up some of its Yadav votes. Direct Contest between Congress & INLD with Congress at advantage

Case 2 : Congress fields Muslim Candidate à It will make 2 Yadav and 2 Muslim candidates. In this case Yadav votes may over to Rao Inderjeet. Meo votes mayu get divided. Also Meo voters may collectively vote to defeat BJP. Direct contest Congress & BJP with BJP at advantage.

Election strategy for General elections 2014 : BJP falling in it's own trap

Election Strategy of BJP, for upcoming elections in 2014, is mainly broadly revolving around the following 3 plans :
(1) Campaigning through social media.
(2) Declaring PM & CM candidates for elections in advance.
(3) Organizing rallies while Making Hoolaboo and chanting "Namo - Namo".

The three plans  mentioned above seems very good if seen from far but if we go deep into the details , we will find these plans are nothing but a way of own satisfaction. So let's Discuss every plan one by one in detail.
