Election strategy for General elections 2014 : BJP falling in it's own trap

Election Strategy of BJP, for upcoming elections in 2014, is mainly broadly revolving around the following 3 plans :
(1) Campaigning through social media.
(2) Declaring PM & CM candidates for elections in advance.
(3) Organizing rallies while Making Hoolaboo and chanting "Namo - Namo".

The three plans  mentioned above seems very good if seen from far but if we go deep into the details , we will find these plans are nothing but a way of own satisfaction. So let's Discuss every plan one by one in detail.

(1) Campaigning through Social Media :-

Social Media is a very effective way of communicating with your friends and other people. One can spread his/her own views among people available on social media. In India Facebook and Twitter are two important and quiet popular social sites. Obama used social media very effectively to win U.S presidential elections. Question arises why social media won't be that effective in India. First of all , India doesn't have presidential form of elections. Modi gained popularity through social media but again he gonna contest only 1 out of 543 constituencies. In India not everyone is one FB or Twitter. Rural population being almost 68% of total population in our country decides the outcome of  elections. Rural India is hardly aware of Social media. Secondly , People from urban areas move to metropolitan cities across India for Jobs in private organisations. These people form maximum of the bunch following Modi. But Question arises Will these people take leaves just to cast their vote in their constituencies which may be hundreds of Kms away. Putting your work in front of people residing in rural areas is crucial factor rather than Campaigning through Social Media. But BJP is happy the kind of response they are getting on FB and twitter from people residing far off from their constituencies or even overseas. Yes, Congress was a late entrant into social media but when they decided to enter they entered in a planned manner. It was not Rahul Gandhi who took the lead infact a communication team was set up under Ajay Maken. Moreover they started giving training to spokesperson of various areas so that nothing controversial surfaces up in social media that can go against the party. Condition now is more congress leaders are there on social media than BJP.

"Rural population , 68% of total population , decides elections and they are not aware of social media. So it is the work done by a party rather than social media which will count in coming elections. Yes, Social media will have an effect but that will be minimal"

(2) Declaring PM & CM candidates in advance :-

Declaring PM & CM candidates by BJP has some advantages but it comes with more disadvantages. Take account of Modi. He was declared PM candidate but a lot of rebellion surfaced up in BJP. Firstly , it has decimated Status of Sushma Swaraj as leader of opposition in parliament. Secondly,Advani Opposed in an open. This can easily sway away votes ,associated with Advani, from BJP. Modi comes with a past associated with him which will easily polarize minority votes against BJP but again BJP may gain in some areas as well. But what if BJP loses 1 or 2 states in coming assembly elections. Modi's image will take a hit as all 4 states are more crucial for BJP than for Congress. Moreover BJP has a history of changing candidates and Ministers quiet regularly.Obviously Modi is the most popular leader in BJP but so are Sushma Swaraj & Advani.Modi anointment came with a cost for BJP. Even before he was declared JD(U) ended up its 17 years old alliance with  BJP. Secondly, in his speeches he only talks of Rahul and Congress and hardly talks about it's vision.Coming to Congress , it hardly declares PM or CM candidates in advance. They go situation by situation and state by state. Truly that's a wise way to go into the elections. What it does is,it keeps factionalism at bay during elections. Just take the case of Delhi elections. BJP first gave powers to Vijay Goel and at the last moment they changed it to Dr. Harshvardhan. Now I don't need to tell you all what will happen next.

"By declaring Modi as its PM candidate, BJP has taken a risk of it's own sorts. If they couldn't get the desired numbers (Read : http://workingbravo.blogspot.in/2013/10/chances-of-bjp-in-2014-election-and-why.html  ) they will spoil their chances of regaining power even for next ten years or so. Even if they form a government at center and couldn't make Modi as PM , they are going to lose heavily because people will vote for Modi not BJP But it's other way round in case of congress, those who will vote for congress will vote to it's ideology and pro-poor and pro farmers work."

(3) Organizing rallies while Making Hoolaboo and chanting "Namo - Namo" :-

Organising rallies is essential for any political party but only organising rallies doesn't reap good results. By organizing rallies of Modi in every party of the country BJP is giving a signal that there is only one leader in the party i.e Modi and  Rest all leaders are not that effective. BJP has planned a lot of rallies country wide but no meetings with workers at all. Afterall , elections are won by workers not by any person alone. Months before his scheduled rally whole party cadre get involved into getting numbers for the rally. Same time, party works gets stalled.Spending heavily on stages, face masks is not the purpose. Connect is very important. Connect comes when local leaders organise small meets or rallies and address themselves and by a state leader. Talking about Congress, It's not only Rahul who is addressing rallies. A lot of names are there like Scindia , Digvijay , Ajit Jogi , Ashok Gehlot , Shiela Dikshit , Ajay Maken and surely they attract voters on their own. Honorable PM of India Manmohan Singh , Sonia Gandhi too address rallies. It reflects a collective effort and gives confidence to local cadres. Modi Rallies and speeches revolves around him,his replica stages, his words targeting Rahul , Sonia Gandhi even PM of India. Whereas Congress rallies campaigns for the good work done by them for poor, farmers. They don't even name Modi in their rallies showing his irrelevance for them.

"Like a person can't watch a movie time n again same way Too much Hoolaboo again n again won't get him votes get BJP the votes.Modi's speeches lacks vision. On the other side a lot is being wasted on his replica stages and his speeches."

'It is quiet Evident from the above facts that BJP is falling in it's own trap because of the wayward campaign they have planned. They have reached a point of no return because elections are won by working at ground level and a strong organization. Congress is working smartly on both. Dont feel surprised if they retain power in 2014 as well. (Read : http://workingbravo.blogspot.in/2013/10/political-difference-between-learning.html )'
