Political Difference between "Learning from Mistakes and Learning the mistakes"

Committing the Mistake :

In 2011-12 , Rahul Gandhi was all after the then Mayawati led BSP government in Uttar Pradesh. Yes he succeeded in exposing the chinks in BSP government in front of Voters. But this didn't turn out in his favor instead it was Samajwadi Party which ended up winning election in 2012 with quiet comfortable majority. So what exactly went wrong at that point of time or we should say what "MISTAKE" did Rahul committed that his party failed to win seats. At that point of time his focus was more on exposing the ruling party and more so on it's CM Mayawati. He targeted an individual rather than the opposition parties. His focus was less on congress party's manifesto and its ideology. Whereas at the same time Akhilesh toured whole state and grabbed the attention of grass root workers and voters. So in the fight of Congress and BSP , SP came out a winner.

" Rahul mistake was he missed the opportunity to align himself with voters. His focus was less on ground level working and more on targeting 2-3  individuals of other parties"

Learning from Mistakes :

True "To err is human" . Rahul erred in UP assembly elections. But his mistake didn't let him and congress down. Vote percentage share of congress increased in UP. Important thing after all this was he learned from all those mistakes he committed in UP elections. He must have gone for analysis of that result. He realized the mistakes and worked on them , which is quiet apparent in his changed style of working,  his speeches these days. Instead of targeting individual leaders of opposition parties , he targets their ideology ,  their weaknesses. Targeting an individual only gives that individual indirect marketing. In his speeches he targets weakness of opposition parties but simultaneously he promotes the good works done by his government and Congress like Food Security , Land Acquisition bill  , NREGA etc.
He has revived social media campaigns which otherwise were a monopoly of BJP. He has again shifted his focus towards Youth , which is evident in ticket distribution as well. Strengthening of Grass root workers is his other agenda. He has emphasized on women empowerment as well. He is such a soft spoken person these days that brings an emotional touch among the audience. Another good thing he has brought is accountability and unity. Accountability for the candidates recommended by senior leaders to contest elections. Unity brought by him among factions in states politics of his own party and this unity is visible whether its Madhya Pradesh Congress ,Rajasthan or Chhattisgarh.

His working style indicates he is following a term known as "PDCA" (Plan , Do , Check and Act)
Plan - Plan the strategy
Do - Implement the strategy
Check - Check the actual implementation and its results.
Act -  Act on the the flaws , if any , in the outcome of those results.

"Rahul Gandhi not only learned from his mistakes at quiet fast pace but also revived the congress campaign in the run upto 2014 Elections"

Learning the Mistakes :

Since last 2-3 months or so whenever Rahul addresses any rally , opposition parties starts targeting  him.  In all of his speeches  , Modi names Rahul and Sonia Gandhi and targets them on one or the other things. Modi committing the same mistake in his speeches and campaigns which Rahul did during UP elections. Moreover Modi has gone two steps ahead that in his every next line comes the name of Rahul and now he has reached at that point where if he doesn't target Rahul in his speech people will term it as meak or surrender. And if he continues targeting him , he gives indirect Marketing to Rahul and Congress. It is simply called as " Learning the mistakes"
Whereas Rahul never mentioned the name Modi in his Speeches giving an indication how irrelevant Modi is to him and how important policies for poors, farmers is to him.

"Rahul Gandhi has and is learning from his mistakes and on the other hand Modi is learning those mistakes. Both of them doing it at quiet a fast pace"
